OSU Fall League '08

To any ultimate players in Columbus this upcoming quarter,
We are going to be running a Fall League this upcoming quarter on Sunday afternoons.  We would love to have anyone in the Columbus area to help us out and play in the league.  We could use all the help of people who know the game.  And besides, it will be a lot of fun.

Purpose of the League:
To gather all the current OSU/Columbus ultimate players along with any new players interested in playing for OSU to play in a fun/competitive league.  It will be a great way for new students interested in playing to learn the basics of the sport and how much fun it is.  This will provide a setting where new students can get to know current team members and Columbus area players.  By playing on the same team week after week, players will be able to adequately show off their talents instead of being lost in the chaos of open practices.
We fully expect anyone planning on playing OSU I (Lead) or OSU II (BBC) this year to be a part of the league.  We understand if there are extenuating circumstances and you can't play.  Just let me know what's going on.
And even if you don't care about Ohio State Ultimate, this is a great way to increase the interest/popularity of ultimate especially in the Columbus area.  And why would you say no to more ultimate.
When:  Each team will be playing one game on Sunday afternoons starting Oct 5th (No games Oct 19th).  Games will take place from 3:00-4:30 and 4:30-6:00.  Games will end at a certain time and not a certain score.  We will be encouraging tardiness to ensure maximum ultimate pleasure.  Schedules and more details will be released the week before games are to start.  We will probably be running games until Thanksgiving but the end of season is still TBD.
Where:  Lincoln Grass Fields (Next to the Turf Fields)
Cost:  None!!  No jerseys, just lights/darks for the games
Respond to me by September 28th letting me know if you are interested as well as letting me know how many weekends you think you'd be missing.  Also, if you know any OSU students interested in playing, have them check out our booth at the Involvement Fair or contact me directly.
